    Description

The East End Grand Cayman tour begins with a short drive in an air-conditioned van to Pedro St. James, an old colonial plantation built in 1780, which has been preserved and transformed into one of the island's most important cultural sites. Here, you'll learn about the history of Grand Cayman with a fun, multimedia presentation, before taking a walk around the curiously square building and its impeccably manicured gardens, which are home to a gorgeous gazebo that's perfect for taking pictures in.

The tour continues with a stop at the Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Park, a lush tropical garden full of fountains, waterways, and bridges where you can explore and delight in the incredibly colorful and fragrant Caymanian flora. Here, you'll see lilypads, hanging vines, enormous flowers, stunning tropical birds, parrots, graceful butterflies, and the island's pride and joy, the blue iguana, an endangered species that doubles as the island's symbol.

On your way back to the cruise port, we'll stop by the Grand Cayman blowholes, beach-side geysers that spray up to the sky whenever a wave hits the shore just right. This is possible thanks to the underwater caverns located just by the shore, as when a big enough wave hits them, the air and water pressure will create a powerful spray, not unlike the one created by whales. Truly a wonderful sight!
